Sweet Paul

Has everyone discovered Sweet Paul already? This online mag is filled with delicious recipes, entertaining ideas, beautiful pictures and crafts. Like Lonny, you can click on all the images and order directly from the website. I had the pleasure of stumbling across it last week and can't get enough!

Tim Robison, this image reminds me of you!
Cutest brunch salad ever.
The healthier version.
I would add salmon.
This is an excellent French Toast recipe as well. Dip the pastry in egg white, then bake it as directed. In the center, add fresh fruit and cinnamon!
I die, I die.
As much as I love cheese, this one's coming with me.
Everyone needs a set of juice glasses like these. Find them here.
Such a wonderful decoration and gift.
Can't wait for August 15th!

What do you guys think? Go check it out!

Sweet Sunday 5.9

I have a couple great ideas for this blog that I will be implementing in the next week or so. The first is that I want to share all my yummy treat recipes. Every Sunday I will share here as a part of "Sweet Sunday."

Here is the first installment:

Almond Crusted French Toast

Ingredients:
1. Sliced bread of your choice. I recommend Challah or Ciabatta
2. 3 large eggs
4. 1 cup whole milk. I use a 3:1 mixture of fat-free half and half and skim milk
5. 1/4 tsp almond extract
6. 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
7. Pinch of salt
8. 2 tbsp sugar
9. Pinch of cinnamon
10. 1 cup sliced almonds
11. Butter or PAM

Prepare:
Mix eggs, milk, extracts, salt and sugar in large bowl.
Pour mixture into large pan and soak each bread slice for 2 minutes in the mixture. Repeat on opposite side
Spray griddle with cooking spray or melt butter on medium-high
Place sliced almonds on griddle in the shape of the bread, then place bread on griddle
Press down and cook for 3 minutes on each side
Sprinkle with cinnamon and syrup.

I finished the meal with a mix of orange juice, seltzer water and fresh squeezed lime!
ENJOY!

Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there!
